We gathered with over 140 supporters at Ray’s on the River in Sandy Springs, GA on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 to celebrate seven years of Birthright Israel Foundation in the Atlanta community. Thank you to our amazing Atlanta leadership for your vision and dedication!

During the festive evening, we had the pleasure of hearing from Birthright Israel alumni from Atlanta — Melissa McGrath, Max Greenberg and Kyle Simon — each sharing his/her unique story and closing with the powerful words, “Birthright Israel changed my life.” Our guest alumnus from Houston, Benji Sklar, shared his journey of how his Birthright Israel experience inspired him to join the IDF and take an active role protecting the Jewish state and Jewish people.

Together, we have sent 700,000 young Jewish adults to Israel, including 9,000 from Atlanta, for the experience of a lifetime. This year, Birthright Israel Foundation aims to provide this life-changing opportunity to 48,000 young Jewish adults, each of whom has a unique story to share. It costs $3,000 to send a participant on their Birthright Israel journey. We hope you will join us in giving this gift to the next generation! Your support will ensure the continued success of this incredible program.

“My mother and father’s first priority in life was education. The second was the existence and the future of Israel. And Birthright [Israel] has given us the ability to give to something that accomplishes both… And that’s the most important thing in life to us as Jews…”
