Why Get Involved?

Why Give?

A Gift to Birthright Israel Foundation is a gift to the Jewish people for our present and our future. Your support helps fund the Birthright Israel experience for 50,000 young Jewish adults annually by allowing them to claim their birthright and receive the life-changing gift of an educational trip to Israel.

The gift of Birthright Israel ensures a vibrant future of the Jewish people by strengthening Jewish identity, Jewish communities and connections with Israel for generations to come.

Why Us?

When you join our family of 35,000 annual donors, you become a stakeholder in the Jewish future, and make an impact on the lives of over 650,000 young Jewish adults. Since inception of the program, Birthright Israel has become the leading educational platform in the Jewish world.

Why Now?

Birthright Israel began 18 years ago with a bold idea — offer the gift of a life-changing trip to Israel to young Jewish adults between the ages of 18 and 26* — and in doing so, transform the Jewish future.

We have achieved great success, gifting over 650,000 young Jewish adults, an entire generation, with this once-in-a-lifetime journey to Israel, but our work is not done. It takes $150 million dollars to give this gift to 50,000 participants each year and we need your support to ensure we can provide this gift for years to come.

Your gift enables Birthright Israel Foundation to have the necessary resources to help young Jewish adults from across the globe embark on this life-changing journey and build lasting connections to the Jewish people, the land of Israel and their Jewish identity now and forever.

* Note: Birthright Israel is currently offering the gift to 27-32-year-olds with limited availability as a pilot program.
