Birthright Israel’s niche trips are just one way we continue to innovate and be the leading educational program in the Jewish world. By designing the Birthright Israel experience around yoga, outdoor adventure or study abroad – to name a few – we are seeking to create a connection between a young adult’s interest or passion with his or her Judaism.

In Summer 2018, Birthright Israel hosted various niche trips including Extreme Outdoors, Mindfulness and Spirituality in Israel, Spices of Israel, The Bridge – International Business Trip, Israel Underwater, Culinary Israel and many more.

What are Alumni Saying?

“My Birthright Israel trip was so special because of the people who were there. I joined a Mindfulness and Spirituality in Israel themed bus. The goal of our trip was to bring together people open to mindfulness and yoga. Our trip incorporated meditation and yoga sessions into the classic Birthright Israel itinerary which really helped us reflect and processes the experiences we were having. Because we all already shared a love for meditation and yoga my group bonded very quickly. After my trip I spent the next few days on cloud nine feeling so loved and thankful for all of the new people in my life because of Birthright Israel.”

“When I learned about the culinary niche trip I knew there was no better way for me to experience Birthright Israel. As an avid food blogger, I joined a bus full of fellow bloggers, chefs, foodies on a journey for the mind, soul and stomach. I was inspired by the freshness of the food and my time cooking for 600 soldiers on an IDF base. When I returned home, Israel was on my mind. I focused my time on learning and reading more about Israel as well as adding its flavor to my menu.”
