On Thursday, September 13, 2023, Vice Chair Lori Komisar and Morrie Silverman warmly welcomed guests to a special event at their home dedicated to celebrating and supporting Birthright Israel Foundation (BRIF). The gathering brought together generous donors and newcomers eager to learn about the organization’s mission. Lori Komisar began the evening with heartfelt remarks, sharing her and Morrie’s strong support for Birthright Israel and its programs. Following Lori, the newly appointed President & CEO of Birthright Israel Foundation, Elias Saratovsky, shared programmatic updates and recounted the profound impact of his own Birthright Israel journey. He passionately encouraged everyone in attendance to join our movement and leave a lasting imprint on the Jewish world. Arel Moodie, 2023 co-chair of BRIF’s Alum Ambassador Program, TV host, and Birthright Israel alum, spoke about the immense Jewish pride his trip to Israel gave him nearly two decades ago.
