On Thursday, July 27, 2023, philanthropists Barbara & Richard Silverman opened their Chicago home to fellow Birthright Israel Foundation supporters and those interested in the program. The event focused on rallying support for Birthright Israel programs and the 20,000 young Jewish adults waitlisted for the classic 10-day trip.
Barbara & Richard began the evening with beautiful remarks about why they have been staunch program supporters for years. Following the Silvermans, Birthright Israel participant and student leader Adela Cojab shared how the trip helped her become a leading Jewish activist. She also expressed how donating to Birthright Israel Foundation can change the trajectory of young Jewish lives. After Adela, guests enjoyed hearing from Dr. Zohar Raviv, International VP of Educational Strategy for Birthright Israel. Dr. Raviv gave an important update about Birthright Israel and the future of the educational experience.
