On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, St. Louisans Stacy and Greg Siwak hosted a gathering that brought together dedicated Birthright Israel Foundation donors, as well as those enthusiastic about getting involved. Stacy and Greg kicked off the event with heartfelt remarks, expressing their deep commitment to Birthright Israel and highlighting the profound impact these journeys have on young Jewish adults, such as their son, Sam. Sam, who is away at college, shared an inspiring video message about his summer 2023 trip and why he is grateful for his parent’s support of the program. Attendees also received a program update from Ariel Weiss, the Midwest Regional Director.

Following Ariel, alum and multi-time trip staffer Alexa Summers shared how her trip was one of the biggest blessings she’s ever received. Eden Cohen, 2023 co-chair of Birthright Israel Foundation’s Alum Ambassador Program and Senior Advisor to Former Special Envoy Noa Tishby, was the keynote speaker. Eden shared her reflections on how the classic 10-day trip significantly shaped her life and career. She delved into the program’s relevance for today’s young Jewish adults, who face challenges such as antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment on social media and college campuses.
