On Monday, July 24, 2023, philanthropists Jill & Jay Bernstein hosted Birthright Israel Foundation donors from across the country for an evening of support in Aspen, CO. Jill & Jay Bernstein have been staunch supporters of Birthright Israel Foundation in Palm Beach for years and were joyed to rally support for the program in Aspen. They were joined by fellow supporters from Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Palm Beach, San Francisco, and many other cities.
The hosts opened the program and shared why the 10-day immersive Israel experience is a priority for them and why it is so close to their hearts. Recent participant Daniel Goldman, who attended the event with his parents, Angel & Aaron, was overwhelmed with gratitude for his experience and took to the podium to share how the program reignited his love and connection to Israel and the Jewish people.
Next, Birthright Israel Foundation alum ambassador and trip staffer Talia Escobedo spoke. Talia shared a personal testimony regarding how before her Birthright Israel experience, she was not connected to the Jewish community. She then had the honor of introducing Dr. Zohar Raviv, International VP of Educational Strategy for Birthright Israel, who gave an important program update. Following Dr. Raviv, board chair Phil de Toledo concluded the program by reminding those in attendance about the increased demand for trips and the urgent need for funding. He asked everyone to join him in making Birthright Israel a priority for their philanthropy.
